ANNOUNCEMENTS
After two years in the making, I’m beyond excited to finally announce that my self-help book for teens Teenagers, Wake Up! is published and is now out for the world to read.
First and foremost, words will never be able to express my gratitude to those who have worked tirelessly behind the scenes - the individuals who have helped make this dream project of mine come true. I’d like to especially thank those who have supported me throughout my journey, up to this present day. But most of all, kudos to God for getting me here.
This project holds a very special place in my heart. My only wish is for you to enjoy reading my book, as much as I had the pleasure of writing it, and that you find new ways to learn, grow and prosper.
Much love,
Sam x
"This book is a must-read for teenagers who are lost or parents who don't know what to do. If you are a teenager, you will be able to relate to the contents, since it was written by a teen. The book gives you talk about life problems and gives you some solutions to them without invalidating them, making you feel like you aren't really alone since it's based on real life. My classmates and I would flip through the pages, see stuff that relates to us and read out the quotes. It was fun yet comforting to read. It's a must-read to any teenager!"

"This book has taught me more than I could ever imagine.
When I read the the names of each chapter I thought I already knew everything there is to know about them. And I guess I was wrong. Honestly love this book 'cause it shows another perspective from another teen and it just amazes me how Sam’s book inspires me and my friends so much.
10/10 recommend reading this book, especially when
you feel like doubting yourself :))"

"This is a book I chose to read with my teenage daughter to help her with recognizing and creating healthy relationships. It covered that and so much more. I'm definitely going to suggest it to others. The concepts are easily understood and puts things in perspective. I'm grateful for the time and experience we shared when reading this book together. This writer is wise beyond her years."

"'Teenagers, Wake Up!' by Samantha de Senna Fernandes is full of home truths and great advice from a teenage writer to other teenagers, on wellbeing, self-love, family, health, mental health, friendships, relationships and social media. Every teenager should read it - and parents will learn a lot too."
- Pete
"Having a teenager write about her experiences to her counterparts is refreshing. You may not agree with everything but the ideas that Samantha shares will at least challenge your own thinking and actions."
- Leila
"LOVED IT!!! I really enjoyed this book as a 17-year-old as many of Sam's advice is applicable to my teenage experience, especially her advice on relationships as I was going through a breakup at the time. I particularly appreciated how Sam includes her personal experience with bullying in the book and the way she writes makes it feel as though you are chatting to an old friend rather than reading. 'Teenagers, Wake Up!' also made me reevaluate my values and priorities, I realised the importance of family and the negative impacts alcohol and drugs."

Just this past Easter, I was invited by different schools around Macau to give talks to teenage students in order to motivate them. I have so far spoken onstage in front of 1,000 students.
During my talks, I would share my story and experience with bullying, but most importantly, I raise awareness on certain topics that teens go through as a generation, such as peer pressure and how to regain self-love.
The thing is, I still can’t fully process this. I used to be so ashamed of who I was. I hid my identity. I hated myself and what I stood for. And most of all, my younger self would’ve never foreseen this coming. I never believed I had a purpose. But the past few months really made me realise that yeah, I do have a purpose. I was diagnosed with IP for a purpose. I was bullied for a purpose, and I got healed for a purpose.
It’s such a surreal thought. I used to be so afraid of sharing my story. But being onstage and doing exactly that is the best feeling ever, and there’s none quite like it. I don’t know where things will head off from here, but all I know is that I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me. And you can too.
